WeCare Gives Back

Walker ClimateCare is pleased to help the local community whenever possible.

The WeCare Gives Back program is an important part of Walker ClimateCare’s culture. It aligns with our Mission to create a better quality of life for our customers, our team members, and their families. Every month a charitable organization or cause in the local community is identified and a donation is made to support them. As our business grows, the amount of the donation grows too!

We pride ourselves on making our community a better place and supporting those doing great work in and around where we live and do business. In many cases, the organizations being donated to are selected by our team members as causes to which they have personal connections, and they’re often pictured handing over the cheque! Please see a summary of the more recent donations below:

June 2024

We are proud to donate $2,529 to the Cornwall Community Hospital as part of our WeCare Gives Back initiative. To date, we have given a total of $88,226.53 to support our community.

A portion of this donation will support the Corus Caring Hearts Radiothon! 2024 marks the 18th year of this incredible fundraiser. Next month, a few of our staff will be popping in for an hour, with BOOM 101.9 FM and 104.5 FRESH Radio, who will be broadcasting LIVE from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Cornwall Square on Thursday, August 22nd.

This year's Radiothon will help fund new state-of-the-art surgical lighting for the Cornwall Community Hospital. With the existing equipment nearing the end of its lifespan, new technology is crucial. Since surgical lighting isn’t covered by government funding and costs $50,000 per Operating Room, your donations are essential to make this project a reality.

Join us in supporting this vital cause and making a difference in our community!
