Break Free From Your Water Heater Rental Contract!

Break Free From Your Rental ContractWHEN WAS THE LAST TIME YOU THOUGHT ABOUT YOUR WATER HEATER?

Unless it’s been acting up or not giving you hot water, it’s probably been a while. For most home owners in the Cornwall area, the water heater experience is the same: your water heater rental contract was just another document to sign in the quest for a new home. This process has some obvious downsides – suddenly, without having a chance to do research or test the market, you’re stuck with the same rental water heater contract as the last home owner. Plus, when was the last time your rental provider performed maintenance on your gas-fired water heater. CLARITY by Walker ClimateCare is changing the way home owners get hot water by re-introducing water heater ownership. We’re here to help: learn how to break free from your rental contract by following these simple steps. Check your water heater

Water_HeatersGETTING OUT OF YOUR CONTRACT IS EASIER THAN YOU THINK!

STEP 1:

Check your water heater for a sticker or label that provides information about the model, size, installation date and other information of your unit. Review your current contract (if you have one) to determine the age of your agreement. If you can’t locate it, give your rental provider a call.

STEP 2:

Once you’ve spoken to your provider, you should know what needs to be done to terminate your water heater rental contract. This will include providing notice to your rental company, paying a disconnect or cancellation fee or buying out your water heater. If your contract is greater than 7 years old, the costs are minimal.

IS YOUR WATER HEATER OLDER THAN 7 YEARS?

3 WAYS YOU CAN BREAK FREE FROM YOUR WATER HEATER CONTRACT

OPTION 2: Pay the full buyout price for your water heater as set out in your rental contract. The buyout price will be located on your supplier’s website. If not, give them a call.

OPTION 3: COMPLETE AN AGENCY APPOINTMENT FORM PROCESS:

An Agency Appointment assigned to Walker ClimateCare allows us to work on your behalf. It’s easy, it’s legal and we can do the heavy lifting for you. All you need to do is fill out your provider’s Agency Appointment form and have your new provider sign it and submit it on your behalf.
